Water and Other Thoughts...

Hello fellow trainers. I am struggling to drink enough water. Yesterday I only had one 8 once glass of it, and most of the rest of my liquid intake had caffeine in it...which I know just dehydrates me. I know this is important to my successful training and performance. Many other things like nutrition, good sleep, good shoes, properly working electronic equipment and overall health, have also been on my mind lately. I've been trying to work with what I have/where I'm at in regards to these things and not worry about being/doing things perfect. This can often be a struggle for me. Bottom line: if the training plan for the day is highlighted as complete, I've had a successful day. I just want to make sure I'm doing what I can to continue to make that happen and not fall prey to injury/sickness.

I too sometimes fight the water battle. I find it's helpful to set water goals. I keep a 20 bottle at work to fill up with water. I have to drink one before lunch, one during lunch and one after lunch before leaving work. Then I have another 10-20 ounces at home or wherever I am after work....this seems to work for me. Keeping drink mixins at work on in your purse can also help...I have 4 or 5 varieties in my desk so if I do need a little spicing up one is right there....
